Crys Dream qualifies at The Red Mile

Crys Dream who hasn’t raced since her last race in Illinois finally came back to the track at the Red Mile in Lexington Kentucky to qualify only to meet up with 2011 Hambletonian winner Broad Bahn.
It was only a four horse field with Brian Sears and Live Jazz at the rail Broad Bahn post 2 Crys Dream the 3 with Swept To Victory rounding out the field withe the 4 post.
When the gate opened Broad Bahn left for the lead while Live Jazz, Crys Dream and Swept To Victory followed in that order reaching the opening quater in a snappy 28.0 when they reached the half Live Jazz got the call in 57.1 Live Jazz contiued on the engine reaching the three quarters in 1:25.1 making that a 28.0 third quarter then Broad Bahn pulled the pocket and finished with a last quarter in yet another 28.0 flat to win by one length over Live Jazz in 1:53.2.
Crys Dream finished third beaten by five going in 1:54.2 With Wind Swept Victory trotting in 1:56.4 There were a total of four qualifying races at The Red Mile with ShadyShark Hanover and Brian Sears winning by 34 lengths in 1:52.2 Alexandria Lindy breaking at the wire winning by 33 and a half lengths in 2:04.2 and Kingstone for Ervin Miller winning by three and a quarter lenghts in 2:02.3.
